In April of 2022, I had the opportunity to head to Wisconsin for my very first client VIP Day. Working with cycling brands across the world is absolutely the best when I get to visit their facilities and meet other avid cyclists in person! During this particular trip, one of my biggest treats was the chance to stay at the Charmant Hotel in La Crosse.

Greeted at the main entrance by a concierge behind a candy counter, I could immediately feel the unique hospitality that I was going to receive in this city. The boutique decor and consistent nod to the original use of the building, a candy factory, is extremely charming. From details in the rooms to the signage and the lobby decor, no detail was considered to be too small.
I ate several of my meals in the hotel lobby restaurant, and I highly recommend making this a priority if you visit the Charmant Hotel. The flavors and dishes are gourmet, but they will serve it to you with a proper midwest smile. The good will and demeanor of every single person at the hotel was like coming home. As a girl from the heart of this country myself, it can be easy to forget how truly kind and lovely the people in this part of the country are to each other. It was a wonderful reminder of the good in people and how far a friendly gesture can go when you’re surrounded by strangers.
My room was an unexpected blend of vintage furniture and modern finishes. Clean, white bathroom fixtures were surrounded by exposed brick walls and interesting artwork. Because I was on a business trip, the fast wi-fi and high-tech outlet options were essential, and the Charmant did not disappoint.
If you find yourself ever in the La Crosse area for any reason, I cannot recommend the Charmant Hotel enough. They will take care of you and make sure you have an exceptional experience.
